About Crystal Portraits
I approach each crystal with respect by energetically introduce myself and open myself up for the crystal to ascertain my intent. This process can take a few seconds or a few minutes. I ask if there is anything they would like to reveal during our session and begin exploring the crystal and allowing myself to be guided to the areas to be photographed. Conveying appreciation to the crystal and engaging my childlike curiosity is the conscious energy directed towards the crystal. Truly not much different than photographing a person.
I am always excited by images that contain recognizable aspects of conscious or super-conscious reality. I recently had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful crystal skull. Several images contained a close likeness to an female lion. Little did I know that the couple had a close connection to lion as personal totems through out there lives. On other occasions there is simply beautiful abstract patterns and shapes which celebrate natures beauty. I’ve learned that there is no formula and I can never anticipate what to expect. The results often surprise and a $30 pyramid quartz and create an equally inspiring images as a $20 000 amethyst geode.
Each crystal is unique and can present different styles of image. Often a seemingly unassuming crystal can explode with life in front of the lens. If possible I really like the owners of the crystals to be present during the portraits. It works work well when I’m touring (check event schedule). It is simply wonderful to see the image on the back of a camera before it’s entered a computer, just to remove any doubt regarding the images authenticity. Otherwise trustworthy courier options work securely as well.
Pricing
$149 – 1 hr session includes digital image files.
$249 – 3 separate one hour sessions and digital image files
